Like a Premier footballer looking for a pre-season move, certain games bounce around different publishers before finding a home.

We've been following the progress of interesting side-scrolling DS shooter Chronos Twins for over a year now, but as its spring release date faded into the long grass of summer, we began to lose hope.

After all, when we talked to Julio Moruno, MD of developer EnjoyUp, he explained the concept behind the game was time-travel. Your character is placed in the future on the DS's top screen and in the past on the touchscreen.

Which led us to consider the possibility that Chronos Twins had been released, twice, into some sort of space-time continuum and we'd missed it.

Now the truth is out, however. During that information blackout, a transfer was being negotiated from original publisher Lexicon, with Oxygen Interactive revealed as the game's new publisher.

Of course, if you're just a bit confused about what we're rattling on about, sit back and enjoy this piece of gameplay footage (in this case, if you want to get the correct aspect ratio you'll need to go to YouTube and click on the left-hand button at the bottom right of the player):
