Are you caveman enough for Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter?
Prehistoric hunting sim due early 2010
I'm not a one of the fishing or shooting fraternity, but can see something of the attraction of interacting with nature, if only to prove your dominance over it by killing it.
Hunting dinosaurs seems like another matter entirely however. Even with a very big gun, I'd feint my old war wound, even when it comes to the imaginary concept.
Ukrainian developer Tatem is all guns blazing on the subject however as it hones its iPhone game Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter.
As with all hunting sims, the point is to mix the realism of sneaking up on your prey with the arcade ability to shoot stuff. Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter does this in the most basic way thanks to its two modes, Arcade and Hunt.
Even so, you'll have to be careful as you're moving through the 3D environments because if the dinos see, smell or feel your approach, they'll probably decide to head straight for you.
In terms of your load out, you'll get six different types of weapons, while each player will have their own dino trophy room, as well as access to online leaderboards and social networking.
You can get an idea about what it will look like from this promo trailer.
