Call of Duty blasting onto PS Vita in the autumn

Expected to be a 'game-changer for the platform'

Call of Duty blasting onto PS Vita in the autumn

Though we were aware back in November that Activision was developing a Call of Duty title for PS Vita, details on the game were, well, non-existent.

During an interview with GameTrailer's Geoff Keighley, however, SCEA SVP of PlayStation brand marketing Guy Longworth let slip that his teenage FPS-loving sons can't wait to get their hands on Call on Duty for Vita in the autumn.

"Of course in the autumn, they're really looking forward to Call of Duty on Vita," Longworth said. "And we think that's going to be an absolute game-changer for the platform."

Whether this Vita adaptation turns out to be a mobile version of Black Ops or a totally new CoD title, the Vita just became a whole lot more enticing to an extremely large gaming demographic.
