Black Ops - Declassified for PS Vita will offer 'true Call of Duty experience'

If you're worried that Black Ops - Declassified for the PS Vita will be a watered-down generic first-person shooter, fear not: Activision has promised to produce something special for Sony's newest handheld.

"You can really expect us to deliver a true Call of Duty experience," Michael Sportouch, Activision's European VP, said. "We are really excited about the opportunities that the Vita could offer us in terms of connecting with a new audience."

Little is known about this upcoming handheld Call of Duty title, except for a few details released by retailer Walmart in a product posting back in June.

"Before the future could be won, history had to be written. Exposing that story exclusively on PlayStation Vita, Call of Duty: Black Ops - Declassified explores original fiction in the Call of Duty Black Ops universe with an all-new campaign of Special Ops missions," the description on Walmart's posting reads.

More details are expected to be disclosed next week at Gamescom.
