Glu moves citizens to Build-a-Lot 2: Town of the Year on iPhone

Mobile wizard Glu hit the iPhone and iPod touch with a sequel to casual online building sim, Build-a-Lot.

We liked the original game quite a bit, saying it was “a new benchmark for strategy and simulation on the iPhone, offering a real challenge without leaving you high and dry”, before slapping a Silver Award on its lapel.

The game is all about building, buying, and selling houses as you rack up rental income and become a real-estate mogul. You’ll also be plopping down play parks, shaking hands with mayors and gunning for that prestigious ‘Town of the Year’ award.

Build-a-Lot 2 features new houses, like villas and bungalows, and new special buildings, like recycling centers and parks. You can also increase your house’s (ghastly real estate jargon incoming) ‘curb appeal’ with paint and landscaping materials.

Build-a-Lot 2 is available now for iPhone and iPod touch for £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99.
