You could star in Broken Sword 5 - provided the Kickstarter fund hits $700,000

With only four day to go, Revolution has added two additional stretch goals to its Broken Sword 5 Kickstarter fund.

Having hit its initial goal of $400,000, the team behind the all-new Broken Sword adventure - subtitled 'The Serpent's Curse' - is offering backers the chance to step out from behind their credit cards and be immortalised in the game itself.

If the fund hits $700,000 within the next four days, a character based on one of the backers will be slotted into the game - a character who we're told will be "integral to the gameplay".

Should the donations amount to $800,000 or more, another backer will feature as protagonist Nico's neighbour.

Speaking to PG.Biz, Broken Sword creator Charles Cecil explained that "crowdfunding is about much more than just raising money". Sounds like he was telling the truth, then.

We should also remind potential contributors that if Cecil and co. hit $1 million, they'll greenlight Beneath a Steel Sky 2. Which would be neat.

At the time of writing, the pledge figure sits at $597,292 with four days to go ($637,000 when you take PayPal into account). Head over to the Kickstarter page if you fancy pitching in.
