Our brains are so weary from thinking up intros for DS brain game announcements – only three days ago we were telling you about Majesco's Mega Brain Boost – we'll simply begin with the facts. Sega Europe has announced a new game called Brain Assist, which will be released on Nintendo's handheld during spring 2008.

It's derived from classic Japanese arcade game, Touch de Uno! and is designed not only to challenge your memory, concentration and analytical abilities but also to be fun. It features four nurses to choose from, who act as guides (which instantly makes us think of a Carry On film), as well as a four-player wireless competitions.

Apparently, like Mega Brain Boost, the game also focuses on strengthening the right hemisphere of grey matter through its workouts. This makes us worry our brains are going to end up with the aesthetic appeal of a unilateral body builder, with our right brain resembling The Rock while the left clings weakly to its Woody Allen appearance.

If that thought hasn't put you off, click 'Track It!' to learn more over the coming months. And check out our first screenshots of the game in action above.
