One of the biggest selling games of all time, Bejeweled, recently saw a new addition to the franchise hit the PC, entitled Bejeweled Twist.

US carrier Verizon has apparently secured exclusive rights to PopCap’s second Bejeweled sequel, which was made available yesterday on April 8th.

Along with the gameplay addition and new game modes, Bejeweled Twist offers support for newer touchscreen equipped handsets – though again, they’d need to be compatible with the Verizon network.

Bejeweled Twist is being offered to US gamers at $6.99 for unlimited use, or $3.49 on a monthly subscription. No details as to when the game will be rolled out to other territories as yet, though we’d expect to see it quite soon, along with possible conversions to other platforms, such as the iPhone, N-Gage and Android.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
