You won't be able to buy the Infinity Blade series on the App Store anymore
And it's not coming back
Before Fortnite blew up, Epic Games had a seriously successful series on iOS called Infinity Blade which was consistently one of the best RPGs on the App Store. Unfortunately, it was announced yesterday that the Epic is saying goodbye to the series with immediate removal of the game.
Don't get too panicky just yet. If you've bought the game already you can still play it on your device, it's just not up for purchase anymore. Epic's also removed IAPs from the game and will continue to support Infinity Blade III with a few surprises for the next month before putting it on the shelf. The Infinity Blade trilogy is no longer available for purchase. With more developing projects demanding attention, the proper amount of care can no longer be provided by the team as they look to the future. Though this is sad news indeed, it looks like Infinity Blade isn't out of the running altogether as noted at the end of Epic's post: "As we bid farewell, be sure to keep your eyes peeled! You may find Infinity Blade popping up in places you wouldn’t expect." Perhaps we're in for a Steam or Switch port? Probably not.
The three games earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards from us in their reviews for their ingenuity, advanced graphics, combat, and more.
