Fast-paced F2P iOS puzzle Birzzle Fever is the 1st game to emerge from Halfbrick's new publishing initiative
It's coming this Thursday
Notable Australian studio Halfbrick (Jetpack Joyride, Fruit Ninja) is now publishing mobile games.
The first fruit of this new venture is Enfeel's upcoming free-to-play arcade puzzle game Birzzle Fever.
You may recognise the Birzzle name if you've played Birzzle Pandora. There's not that much difference between Fever and Pandora, to be honest (they're both match-three games featuring the colourful birds).
What differentiates Birzzle Fever, though, is its focus on fast pace.
You tap formations of birds to pop them (rather than drag them around to match them). Pop them fast enough and you'll earn huge multipliers and bonuses.
Might as well jumpBirzzle Fever also has the same competitive social gaming angle that helps to distinguish Sega's Sonic Jump Fever from Sonic Jump, for instance.
Both of these 'Fever' games are, essentially, rehashes of a previous game. However, they're faster paced and centre on your chasing high scores to beat your friends in the online leaderboards.
After Birzzle Fever, Halfbrick will be publishing another iOS puzzler in the form of Yes Chef!.
Birzzle Fever will be free to download exclusively from the App Store this Thursday. If you're in Australia, you can download it right now for free.
