You will be able to stream mobile games through your PS4 using Sony's PlayStation App
So, that's something
Over at the Tokyo Game Show, Sony has been explaining more about how you will be able to interact with your PS$ via its PlayStation App for smartphones and tablets.
The app acts as a sort of social network hub for you and your PSN friends, letting you share things and find out what people are up to.
The more interesting parts of the app are unlocked when you connect it to your PS4, though.
Alongside the usual second-screen functionality, the PlayStation App will enable you to stream mobile games using your PS4 as a server.
Stream for meIt's an intriguing idea, although we're not sure which mobile games will be available to stream or how much they're going to cost. Sony already has a decent number of titles in its PlayStation Mobile library, though, and it'd be good to see some of them getting a wider audience.
Some PS4 games will have standalone apps of their own. Through these bespoke apps, you will be able to interact with the game on your TV in different ways.
Sony is definitely taking the cross-platform integration of mobile, PS Vita, and PS4 very seriously, and it'll be interesting to see what the firm comes up with next.
