Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio skates on past scheduled Vita launch date
Takes falling damage
If you were planning on spending today zooming around Tokyo on your rollerblades, I've got some bad news: the PS Vita version of Jet Set Radio has been delayed. (Oh, and you have some strange ambitions, by the way.)
This cult Dreamcast skating game, famous for its eclectic soundtrack and pioneering use of cel-shaded graphics, was scheduled to accelerate onto the Vita today.
A Sega spokesperson cited "necessary development optimisations" as the reason for the delay. He didn't provide us with a new date for Jet Set Radio's Vita debut, stating only that "a final release date will be announced soon".
Jet Set Radio is also set to skate onto Android and iOS, though no concrete launch date has been revealed yet for these smartphone versions.
When it does (eventually) arrive on the Vita, however, the game will set you back £6.99 / $9.99.
