Rumour: Some pre-ordered iPads delayed in the UK until at least March 20th
|

If you've pre-ordered Apple's brand-new tablet, we suggest you look away now.

According to "reports out of the UK", some of you won't find the new iPad sitting on your doorstep come March 16th as expected.

Instead, it looks like some of you will have to wait until at least March 20th to get your mitts on Apple's new tablet.

"Despite our best efforts and those of our shipping partners to get your order to you on time, we want to inform you that it will not arrive on its originally scheduled delivery date," a purported email from the Apple Online Store team reads.

"We regret the delay and apologise for the inconvenience."

End of the world

The cause of this delay is unclear, but it's probably safe to assume that overwhelming demand has something to do with it.

I'm yet to receive an email from Apple regarding my pre-ordered iPad, and my 'order status' still states March 16th as the expected delivery date, so - unless Apple hasn't updated my details yet - it looks like the delay isn't affecting everybody.

We'll keep you posted.
