New Nintendo deal lets you connect your 3DS to more than 5,000 free wi-fi hotspots across Europe

Nintendo of Europe has today announced that it's managed to ink a deal with free-hotspot.com - the world's largest multinational network of free wi-fi hotspots.
What does that mean for you?
It means that if you own a Nintendo 3DS, you'll be able to connect to more than 5,000 free wi-fi hotspots spread throughout 21 different European countries.
You'll find these hotspots in popular fast food and hotel chains such as McDonald's, Burger King, Subway, and ibis, meaning you can check out what's new in Ninty's eShop while you're waiting in line for a flame-grilled Whopper.
Connect the dots
Your Nintendo 3DS will automatically connect to free-hotspot.com access points throughout Europe - even in Sleep Mode - and receive new content via its SpotPass functionality.
"With such an extensive European-wide Wi-Fi access network, partnering with free-hotspot.com made absolute sense," Laurent Fischer, MD of European marketing and PR at Nintendo of Europe, said.
"The access points are largely located in popular restaurants and hotels - places where Nintendo 3DS owners are likely to want, and to unwind in."
