Some things never change, eh.

According to website All Things D, "sources close to the situation" have revealed that the Cupertino-based company will hold a low-key media-related event in New York at the end of this month.

Aforementioned sources have stated that the event isn't related to Apple's next anticipated iPad refresh, though. The company's heavily rumoured next-generation Apple TV isn't expected to make an appearance, either.

Guess work

What could it be, then?

Well, your guess is as good as ours, but Apple SVP of internet software and services Eddy Cue is purported to be involved, which may point towards some kind of publishing announcement.

Cue rules the roost when it comes to the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBookstore, as well as Apple's iAd and iCloud services, you see.

We will, of course, keep you updated.
