Gameloft holds 59p Valentine's Day iPhone game sale, promises 'special surprise' for Android gamers

There were no significant Valentine's Day sales on the App Store last year as far as I can remember. This year EA set the bargain ball rolling with its 'i love 99c games' sale, and now Gameloft is following suit.

Included in Gameloft's sale are recent releases Shadow Guardian (it's like Uncharted) and Star Battalion (it's like Star Wars). Highlights include the excellent Spider-Man: Total Mayhem and Zombie Infection.

There are currently 13 iPhone games on sale for 59p / 99c. If that sounds like a wasted opportunity to capitalise on the fact that Valentine's Day falls on the 14th, it isn't – Gameloft has opened up the 14th game selection to a referendum. Gameloft is also promising "a very special surprise" for Android fans on Friday February 11th.
