As part of its press launch of the tablet-oriented Honeycomb 3.0 version of Android, Google has finally launched an online browser-friendly version of the Android Market.

Found at market.android.com, you can search, browse and buy games and apps, although at time of writing, for some reason, I couldn't sign into my account.

Apparently, when it works, you'll be able to download apps direct to your device via Over The Air transfer.

Typical discovery options such as Featured, Top Paid and Top Free apps and games are highlighted, with prices shown in both the currency of the developer and a conversion into local currency when you click on each icon.

Other available information shown includes the user reviews, as well the game description, download size, number of installs, screenshots, new features in updates, and device permissions.

Best selling Android games currently listed include Lupis Labs' Robo Defense, Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja, and GameHouse's Doodle Jump.
