Leaked iPhone 4G frame picked over in Portugal
A hollow victory
Do you remember last Monday when I jokingly wrote ‘it’s a new week, which can only mean one thing - another iPhone 4G leak rumour? Well, it’s that time again, rumour fans.
For this week’s episode of ‘Apple employees do the funniest things’, the folks over at iPhone Portugal have gotten their hands on what is suspected to be production line chassis of the as-yet-unannounced device.
It isn’t a happy birthday boy in a German-themed bar that’s led to this most recent leak, however, but the rather less amusing method of purchasing the components from undisclosed sellers in China.
The site is absolutely adamant that the cases are the real deal, but the lack of any official Apple branding on them does seem a little odd.
What’s slightly odder is that the official announcement of the real, complete, fully functioning device is expected to take place at the WWDC next week, so how anyone can get excited about what might be the empty shell of the phone is beyond me.
