Sam Mendes directing new Apple ads, to feature video chat?

"Audition tomorrow for a f***ing Apple commercial directed by Sam Mendes" says one potty mouthed, aspiring actress on Twitter.
Indeed, Engadget is reporting that American Beauty director Sam Mendes will be directing a new TV advert for the iPhone 4G. Maybe it'll feature Mena Suvari opening her blouse to reveal a million iPhones flying at the screen.
The gadget blog also passes along info from a trusted source, who says a mother and daughter will be having a video chat thanks to the iPhone 4G's front-facing camera.
A quick dive into the Twitterverse finds a bunch of wannabe actors heading off for auditions and getting callbacks for the parts. One such user says "Something about video chat, 5 megapixel camera with flash and Verizon."
He won't be getting a callback.
The iPhone 4G will apparently feature a higher resolution screen, a beefed up front-facing camera, and a new boxy design. We'll see which of these rumours come true when Apple unveils the new device next month.
