It’s official. While ninjas don’t like fruit, iPhone gamers LOVE Fruit Ninja, the delicious slice 'em up from Australian developer Halfbrick.
Fruit Ninja has finger slashed its way to the top of iPhone sales charts in the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Denmark and Sweden.
In just two weeks, it's gobbled up over 140,000 sales with gamers slicing up over 250 million pieces of fruit in the process.
And that’s 170 pieces of fruit cut up per second.

28 million watermelons are now extinct. Fruit Ninja players slice 7,800 tonnes per day, which is more watermelon than the United States produces every year.
26 million oranges juiced, totaling 57 million recommended daily servings of vitamin C down the drain.
8 million banana cakes worth of bananas.
160,000 tonnes of fruit sliced in total. Which is roughly equal weight to the total amount of gold ever mined on this entire planet.
"It’s you versus a watermelon,” says Luke Muscat, lead designer. “Who hasn’t wanted to attack a melon with a sword just to see it explode?"
Halfbrick isn’t resting on its shaolin laurels though, promising more content, fresh gameplay modes, and juicier fruit in updates over the coming months.
