Orange chief says 'yes' to webcam and 3G on Apple iSlate tablet
|

Previously, we cast a dubious eye over some supposedly leaked specifications for Apple's much-rumoured but as yet unconfirmed tablet, which made no mention of a webcam or, more importantly, 3G connectivity.

It did say we'd be getting an anti-fingerprint coating, though, which is a step up from the slime-covered iPhone.

Now Orange's deputy CEO Stephane Richard has dropped a single syllable bomb on the iSlate rumour wagon. When asked if Apple would soon be launching a webcam-equipped tablet, he answered "Yes".

A follow-up question about whether Orange customers could use it also resulted in a "Yes", which the rumour-hungry community has taken as proof that it'll be 3G ready.

Not exactly an official announcement, but it's an opportunity to talk about the iSlate, which is nice.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
