Tap Fu soon to be live and kicking on the App Store
Beat up nasty ninja with your thumbs
Tap Fu, the side-scrolling fighting effort from the developers responsible for iPhone games 7 Cities (Neptune Studios) and iJiggles (Smells Like Donkey), has been submitted to the App Store for approval.
Described as a 'casual fighting game' and inspired by classic old-skool beat-'em-ups, Tap Fu features several modes of play such as Story, Survival, Training and Free Play, reports Touch Arcade.
Your character, who bears a striking resemblance to a young Street Fighter Ryu, is controlled by on-screen thumb strokes and taps that enable him to beat off the hordes of deadly ninja (and the odd samurai) coming from several directions.
With an integrated combo and special move-related style points system suggests combat in Tap Fu goes beyond brainless finger bashing. To keep competitive spirits up, online leaderboards and a series of achievements are also included.
Tap Fu will be released pre-loaded with the 'Ninjas of the SweetTooth Clan' chapter, with the developers looking to subsequently release further episodes.
We'll let you know when Tap Fu enters the App Store ring. In the meantime, prepare your thumbs for cramp.
