DSi-only Monster Finder announced

Yesterday we heard that Nintendo is planning to send out a host of DSi-only games, which will be full retail titles as opposed to the downloadable bite-sized offerings from DSiWare.

Japanese publisher Alpha Unit apparently took the announcement as a cue to reveal its own DSi-specific game, Monster Finder, which looks very similar to the Pokemon gameplay model that's so popular with our Japanese gaming brethren.

The difference with Monster Finder is that the game will use the DSi's camera to 'find' the eponymous monsters, giving it something of an augmented reality lilt.

So far the game has only been announced for Japan, so it's anyone's guess as to when/if Monster Finder sees a worldwide release.
