Nat Geo Kingdom of the Blue Whale Jigsaw Puzzle set free on iPhone

National Geographic has put together an iPhone app to tie-in with its recently broadcast documentary, Kingdom of the Blue Whale.

The game is touted as an eco-friendly jigsaw puzzle, but also goes beyond simply piecing together the fascinating images from the National Geographic Society’s archives.

It also serenades you with relaxing, ambient oceanic sounds, while revealing factoids about the content of the jumbled up images once you’ve completed the virtual jigsaws. It also doubles up as a puzzle maker, allowing you to create jigsaws from your own photography.

If you’ve always wanted a pet blue whale, but can’t find a Klingon battle cruiser to use as a tank (you’re welcome, you Trekkie nerd) hit the ‘Buy It!’ button to swim on over to the App Aquarium and check out Nat Geo Kingdom of the Blue Whale Jigsaw Puzzle in its native habitat.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
