Unless you really do spend all your time playing games on the small screen, you'll be aware of PC game Crysis – a first-person shooter released on PC late last year which hit everyone's radar because it was possibly the best looking and most realistic game ever made.

Certainly we've never been privy to trees in a game which react in quite such a real way when you hit them with a rocket launcher.

The studio behind it, the German-based Crytek, has since seemingly been spending all its time denying the existence of PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game and working on a parallel spin-off game called Crysis Warhead. However, it looks like that's not all it's been doing, as proven by a recent job advert on its website (picked up over at CVG) for a PSP programmer.

Of course, one lowly programmer job doesn't exactly confirm the most ambitious PC shooter ever is coming to PSP. But following the throwing in of the PSP flannel by Ready At Dawn, it's good to hear at least a whisper that other top developers could be thinking of moving over to the platform.

Crytek has recent stated that its future projects after Crysis Warhead will be multi-platform, despite the fact the studio has only ever worked on PC games in the past, so a PSP game isn't out of the question. Although if it is Crysis, there's no way on earth it's going to share similar visuals. Some sort of The Getaway/Gangs of London type spin-off might not be out of the question, though.

As ever, we'll keep you posted on further developments. In the meantime, keep everything crossed this could turn into something.
