The entry date for the 2007 IMG Awards has closed, with nearly 400 games having been entered for the mobile gaming awards, despite this year's event focusing purely on unpublished games.

The entries came from 33 countries, with 45 per cent from Europe, 26 per cent from Asia, 17 per cent from North America and 12 per cent from the rest of the world.

"This edition is showing a further growth in professionalism and quality worldwide and some astonishing innovations that we can't wait to disclose to a wider audience, after the judging sessions," said IMGA founder, Maarten Noyons. "We have seen new work of both the established studios as of small studios and individuals."

Now that the entry deadline has passed, it'll be down to a team of international judges to whittle the hopefuls down to the best 80, which will then be assessed to select nominees in the five categories: Excellence in Gameplay; Excellence in Connectivity; Excellence in 3D; Best IP-based Game; and Best Casual Game.
