The 28 third-party DS games due this summer
Prepare for The Settlers, Anno 1701 and plenty of blockbuster movie tie-ins
While Nintendo has just laid out its schedule for DS releases during the summer, other companies seem to be less in touch with their plans for the platform. It's already April, but despite having respectively two and three games due for release this month, neither 505 Games or Konami seems to know exactly when we'll be able to buy them.
In fact, Konami looks really confused, as it doesn't seem to think the excellent action RPG Lunar Knights has been released yet. Online retailer GAME and Play.com both beg to differ.
Thank goodness then for Ubisoft, which has one of our most keenly awaited DS games, The Settlers, ready for release on April 19th. Another thinking gamer's game we featured in that Top 10 list of forthcoming DS strategy titles, Disney's Anno 1701, is due to make landfall on June 8th.
Other highlights include Eidos' Zendoku (April) and Square Enix's Final Fantasy III (May 4th). There are also plenty of summer blockbuster tie-ins due. Spider-Man The Movie 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End will arrive in May, followed by Shrek The Third in June.
