Age of Empires III released on N-Gage
Nokia and Glu finally agree on a release strategy
After Glu announced its line-up earlier in the year, we were quite excited to see that the hit strategy franchise Age of Empires III was to be N-Gage’s first foray into the multiplayer RTS arena.
But we weren’t entirely sure when to expect it. Glu and Nokia apparently couldn’t agree on a release date, batting the title back and forth quite publically.
Anyway, the good news is that Age of Empires III just marched out over on the N-Gage showroom.
“We are excited to have worked with Nokia to bring Age of Empires III to the N-Gage platform, adding yet another level of success to the current number one historical real-time strategy mobile game.” Says Glu’s Jill Braff.
“Age of Empires III on N-Gage keeps players on their toes in the battlefield, bringing their experience to a new intensity with features including a multiplayer game mode, new skirmish maps and enhanced graphics.”
The massively popular historical strategy game promises online multiplayer mode, portrait and landscape orientation and a storyline that predates the PC version, giving stalwarts of the series a good reason to take another look.
The N-Gage blog says it’s available right now, though the Showroom page isn’t quite live yet. Undoubtedly it’ll be with us any minute now, so head on over and take a look.
