The upcoming DS and 3DS game Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?! has just had its first gameplay trailer.

The action of Adventure Time takes place on 2D, side-scrolling stages while the overworld map is a top-down affair, inviting comparison with 1987's The Adventure of Link.

Pre-Order loot

US fans who pre-order the collector’s edition of Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?! will receive a premium SteelBook case, a limited edition replica stylus in the style of Finn’s Gold Sword, an exclusive Finn & Jake’s Monster Manual, and a bonus fold-out poster map of the Land of Ooo.
Our earlier forecast of a release date this autumn proved to be correct. Adventure Time will arrive for the 3DS on October 23rd, and for the Nintendo 3DS on October 16th.
