101-in-1 Explosive Megamix brings guess how many games to your DS...

We're used to getting the odd compilation cart on our DSes. Usually ones made up of games so old they make our gran seem like a sprightly teenager. And all those years ago we had WarioWare to introduce us to the joys of 'micro-games' as well. So we're no strangers to games that are actually lots of games. But still, even we're impressed by the sheer number offered by 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix, soon to be released by new DS publisher Nordcurrent.

In case you hadn't guessed, it contains not 1, not 0 but 101 games. And it's only going to cost £19.99, which - as Nordcurrent's managing director, Alexander Bravve points out in the press release - works out at just 20p per game. That should make it appeal to the recession-hit masses.

The games themselves are promised to be very varied, ranging from logic puzzles and sport-themed challenges to twitch shooters and racers. There will be high score tables and - more excitingly, at least if the games are actually any good - wireless multiplayer. They also make use of every hardware feature DS has - i.e., there'll be ones you blow into the microphone for and ones that use the touchscreen.

101-in-1 Explosive Megamix will be released in mere weeks on November 28th. We just hope it turns out to be as good as it is plentifully stacked with games.
