App Store reject and "reverse Mario" platformer Kill the Plumber is out on Android
Shove that in your pipe
The "reverse Mario" platformer Kill the Plumber may have been rejected by Apple for a launch on iOS but nothing has stopped its arrival on Android.
As we covered a couple of days ago, the game's developer Bari Silvestre was told by Apple that Kill the Plumber "includes content or features that resemble a well-known third-party material, Super Mario Bros."
Well, yeah, that's the point. The game has you playing as Mario's enemies while trying to stop him reaching the end of the level. (Except it's just a plumber and not one name Mario.)
Each enemy has a different ability to the others. So there's a puzzle element to each one as you work out how to stop that pesky plumber.
Some crush, others jump, and ones like the bosses you get to play as shoot fireballs.
Anyway, due to this resemblance to Mario games - despite having original art and mechanics - Silvestre wasn't able to get the game out on iOS today, as he originally planned.
But it's out right now on Google Play. You can purchase it for £2.29 / $2.99. Go knock yourself out.
